NYC in February

Although my visit to NYC was short, it was very eventful. My cousin, Aneesh had so much planned for us that it helped knock off some items on my 101 things in 1001 days list!

On Friday night we ate dinner at Balande—a Lebanese restaurant with great food and a homey vibe. If you get a chance to visit, you must try the “Ashta”. It’s a homemade pudding drizzled with honey. Pudding would never be my first choice on dessert but it was truly phenomenal!

Saturday was full of more food and fun. Earlier in the day we ventured out to a B.K.S. Iyengar yoga studio where the instructor assisted me with my first headstand!

After yoga, I met up with my friend Annie from high school. I have had so many friends move to the NYC in the past few years so I will be visiting the busy city more often!

While I was out, I bought some cupcakes from Billy’s Bakery—I found the bakery randomly on Yelp but apparently its famous so I was glad I got to try it out.

After yet another delicious dinner (courtesy of my cousin, Ajesh) we went to Kiran Ahluwalia’s concert in Brooklyn. Her music is an interesting mixture of western and Indian music.

Overall, a great weekend but hopefully my next visit to NYC will be a bit longer!
